Workplace Diversity

Valuing Our Differences

½ Day workshop for the whole team

Our increasingly diverse society is reflected in the growing diversity of our workforce.   High Performance organizations acknowledge that working successfully with others who don’t share the same background, beliefs or traditions is critical for success.  In other words, "We may have come over on different ships, but we're all in the same boat now."

To the point, we had better learn how to cooperate and get along with each other if we want to be productive and successful.  By discovering our similarities as well as our differences is one of the best ways to capture the unique skills and talents each person has and put those skills to work for the entire team.

Developing skills to help determine how to handle circumstances when our differences are standing in the way of our progress are invaluable.  With the tools given here, we will see how to recognize the advantage of diversity; how to value each person's contributions; how to communicate effectively about diversity; and how our differences can help us be a better organization.

High-performance organizations of the 2lst century emphasize the importance of:

  • Diversity and inclusion.
